Abstract

This paper presents a unique base current compensation methodology used for a bipolar current mirror circuit (CMC). In this basic CMC, the base current is compensated using a Darlington pair circuit. The current mirror circuit is a fundamental building block in analog and mixed-signal circuits and play a critical role in current mode signal processing and various applications. The output performance of the proposed circuit was analyzed using a Q-SPICE simulator, and the output terminal current was found to be a mirror of the input terminal current.
