The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools into higher education represents a pivotal shift in pedagogical practice, promising enhanced engagement and learning outcomes. This study investigates the relationship between digital pedagogy adoption and the perceived future trajectory of higher education, specifically examining the role of ICT innovations. A quantitative survey was administered to a sample of 267 faculty members and teaching staff across institutions in Pune City, Maharashtra, India. Using a five-point Likert scale, the instrument captured perceptions on the effectiveness and necessity of digital tools in contemporary teaching. Data analysis employed one-sample t-tests to assess the significance of mean responses and Pearson correlations to examine the strength of associations between key constructs. The findings robustly support both proposed hypotheses (H1 and H2). The aggregate mean for the primary hypothesis was approximately 3.66, indicating a generally positive disposition toward ICT integration. Furthermore, correlation coefficients ranging from 0.592 to 0.701 revealed significant, positive relationships between variables such as perceived usefulness, ease of integration, and institutional support, underscoring their interconnected influence on pedagogical innovation. These results affirm that faculty perceive ICT tools as essential for modernizing curricula and fostering interactive learning environments. The study concludes that strategic investment in digital infrastructure and continuous professional development is critical for realizing the transformative potential of digital pedagogy. This research contributes to the discourse on educational technology by providing empirical evidence from the Indian higher education context, suggesting that a deliberate focus on digital competencies is indispensable for future-ready academic institutions.
