Call for Papers! For Special Issue - Ethiopia: Hopes of a New Horn of Africa
The International Journal of African Studies (IJAFRS) is an international journal in English, published quarterly by SvedbergOpen. The aim of IJAFRS is to publish peer-reviewed research and review articles in the field of African Studies.
This journal is available at https://www.svedbergopen.com/journals/International-Journal-of-African-Studies/About-the-Journal/.
The International Journal of African Studies (IJAFRS) is preparing a special issue on “Ethiopia: Hopes of a New Horn of Africa.” Articles on this theme should address the complexity of the transformations that have attended the change of regime in Ethiopia and the barriers and setbacks that most dramatically exploded into a war in the Tigray region. Alongside this is the new wind of regionalism that transformed ossified relations of hostility, resulting in emerging ties of regional cooperation and a new vision for the Horn of Africa that is organically developing from within the region. In this theme, the role of external powers in the trajectory and shape of these multi-tiered (sub-national, national, and regional) transformations should be considered.
In this context, we invite submissions of Research Articles/Opinion Pieces for our Forthcoming Special Issue on “Ethiopia: Hopes of a New Horn of Africa.”
We will consider research articles of 5,000-7,000 words and opinion pieces of 3,000-4,000 words regarding Ethiopia, Horn of Africa and present outstanding contributions that include, but are not limited to:
