Special Issue on "Cultural Identity and Education: Exploring Minority Perspectives and Practices"
As the Chief Guest Editor of this upcoming special issue, we invite submissions for our Special Issue titled “Cultural Identity and Education: Exploring Minority Perspectives and Practices”. This issue aims to provide a scholarly platform to explore the intersections between minority cultures, ethnic identities, and education systems across the globe. In an increasingly diverse and interconnected world, understanding how education impacts cultural preservation, identity formation, and social integration for minority groups is critical.
Scope and Topics
This special issue welcomes both theoretical and empirical contributions that focus on the challenges and opportunities of minority education and cultural preservation. We are particularly interested in exploring the following topics:
• The role of education in preserving and transmitting minority cultures and languages
• Cultural identity development among ethnic minority groups in educational settings
• Comparative analyses of educational policies and their impacts on minority communities
• Minority voices and perspectives in mainstream educational curricula and practices
• The intersection of globalization and local minority cultures in education
• Case studies of successful educational models supporting minority students
• The challenges of cultural integration and assimilation in multicultural educational spaces
• Education as a tool for empowerment and social mobility within minority communities
Submission Guidelines
We encourage submissions from scholars, educators, policymakers, and researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds such as cultural studies, education, sociology, anthropology, and psychology. Submissions should provide new insights, innovative research methodologies, and robust theoretical discussions that contribute to our understanding of how education shapes and is shaped by minority cultures.
