APC Waiver Policy

The journal's mission is to facilitate and inspire authors worldwide to impart their scientific knowledge to others and to benefit from one another's scientific expertise. We have developed a waiver program to eliminate the cost barrier that prevents authors from low-income economies from sharing and learning.

Waiver requests after acceptance will not be taken into consideration; requests should only be made during the review process.

Authors' specific requests for waivers will be taken into consideration on an individual basis. The amount of the discount will vary depending on the author's position within the institute, quality and originality of the work, and place of origin.

For authors based in any of the low-income economies, SvedbergOpen automatically waives the Article Processing Charges. Kindly send an email to waivers@svedberopen.com to seek a waiver before submitting your paper.
