International Journal of African Studies provides a forum for the exchange of ideas among African scholars from a variety of intellectual persuasions and various disciplines. The journal also encourages other contributors working on Africa or those undertaking a comparative analysis of developing world issues.
IJAFRS aims to give increased attention to African production of knowledge, highlighting the work of local African thinkers and writers, emerging social and cultural trends.
IJAFRS publishes academic research articles, essays, editorials, notes and book reviews, empirical and theoretical knowledge in the fields of African social sciences, history and cultural studies, African language studies, and African literature, etc. The journal also welcomes significant disciplines include but are not limited to:
