The editorial team reviews the manuscript once it is submitted for publication to make sure it is appropriate for the peer review process. After completion, the work is forwarded to an editor who is an expert in the relevant subject.
The submission will be rejected with no further processing if the subject expert editor determines that it may not be of adequate quality or that its subject is outside the purview of the journal.
The manuscript will be assigned to external reviewers if the subject expert editor determines that it is appropriate and fits the scope of the journal. After reviewing the submissions, the reviewers will send the Editor their reports and recommendations for one of the following actions:
Accepted without any changes
Consider after minor revisions
Consider after major revisions
Rejected
Following the submission of reports from all reviewers, the editor may suggest one of the recommendations:
Publish without any changes
Consider after minor revisions
Consider after major revisions
Rejected
The authors will be informed that their paper has been accepted if the editor suggests "Publish without any changes".
The authors are notified to prepare and submit a revised manuscript with the necessary minor changes indicated by the reviewers if the Editor recommends "consider after minor revisions." After the author makes the necessary minor edits, the editor evaluates the updated work. The manuscript can be accepted once the editor is satisfied with the final manuscript.
If the Editor suggests that the article be "considered after major revisions," the authors should promptly submit their updated paper, taking into account the feedback provided by the reviewer. Upon submission of the amended article, the first reviewers are requested to provide a second evaluation. The reviewers provide their evaluation reports on the updated article along with a recommendation that can be "accepted unaltered," "consider after minor revisions," "consider after major revisions." or "reject,” The Editor may then offer an editorial decision that is either “publish unaltered," "consider after minor changes," or "reject."
The manuscript is rejected right away if the editor suggests it to be rejected. Additionally, the manuscript is immediately rejected if the majority of reviewers suggest against it.
The editorial workflow grants the editors the power to reject any paper on the grounds that its subject matter is improper, its quality is deficient, or its conclusions are erroneous. It is not permitted for the editor to designate themselves as an external reviewer of the paper. This is to guarantee that any work submitted to the journal will undergo an excellent, impartial, and fair peer review procedure.
