The paper is based on the research project P2Endure funded within the H2020-EE-2016-2017 call. The main aim of the research is to purpose, for a multiplicity of building typologies, feasible and effective solutions for their deep renovation; the research project affects many building typologies: from public to residential and historic buildings. In this paper, the analysis of real case studies has been used to define the finest procedure to adopt for the elaboration of the energy assessments of the buildings and for the monitoring of the achievement of the expected results in terms of energy and time saving. The main aim is to promote a guideline for designers showing specific instruments to perform towards the fulfillment of the 60% threshold of energy savings providing indications on the action to be taken on order to improve the energy perfor-mance of each building, based on investigation implemented for analogous sites.
