We can maximize the impact of science for future generations
Open access publications are freely and permanently available online, and permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, provided the author/editor is properly attributed.
Open access has gained tremendous support from the authors, who appreciate the increased visibility of their work.
SvedbergOpen is permanently committed to maintaining this open access publishing policy, retrospectively and prospectively, in all eventualities, including any future changes in ownership.
SvedbergOpen publishes all journals using Budapest Open Access Initiative model. All articles published by SvedbergOpen journals are available to readers completely free of charge. Access is made possible by a fee for publication that is paid at the time of article acceptance, usually by an author or author’s institution or funder. Author(s) retain copyright of their work, but readers are free to reuse the material (providing proper citations are given), as all SvedbergOpen articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY).
Open Access publishers apply an initial fee at the time an article is accepted for publication. This fee is known as Article Processing Charges (APCs), covers the costs of the production process.
By using a liberal copyright license, Open Access removes barriers and allows researchers to make use of articles in new ways.
